ARTIST TALK NGÂN BÙI
Accompanying Lơ Silk in this project, visual artist Ngân Bùi joined us in a silk scarf project infused with the spirit of Măng Đen. A young artist known for her emotional depth, Ngân’s works gently echo her pure affection for the landscapes and people of Vietnam.

We traveled together along red basalt roads, listened to the wind on the high hills, felt the sharp cold of Măng Đen’s passing rains, and immersed ourselves in the rhythms and warmth of local life. Each element became living material, translated by Ngân into the visual language of painting.

From the wild sim blossoms to Bahnar textile motifs, from Măng Đen’s rains to the red-earth cliffs shaped by time. Every element is reimagined on silk through strokes that are abstract and intuitive.

A minimal palette was chosen to honor the land’s raw beauty while evoking the quiet, lingering emotion of the highlands.

For within every rain or gust of wind lies the extraordinary pulse of life ever-present, to slow down enough to see and to feel.
