ARTIST TALK LE VO SON QUAN
For many years, Lê Võ Sơn Quân has devoted himself to the research and practice of natural dyeing - drawing color from flowers, leaves, roots, and minerals. A twist of fate brought him to Măng Đen, where he built a small house atop a hill, beside a small garden that becomes his daily playground for experimenting with hues.

There was a time when the garden he had tended for years burned to ashes in just two days. Yet he quietly began again, rebuilding from nothing. A steady love and unwavering patience kept him rooted in his craft.

Though not born in Măng Đen, he has made it his home through affection and presence. He lives gently within the local community, connecting with those shaping Măng Đen through their own honest values. Amid the stillness of the highlands, he continues his craft while fostering a community devoted to natural, sustainable practices, using local materials responsibly and creating livelihoods for ethnic minorities.

A storyteller of color: humble and persistent. He embodies the kind of labor that is simple on the surface, yet quietly extraordinary.
